There’s a version of the beautiful life the internet likes to sell us.
European summers. Slow mornings. Expensive sheets. A very photogenic bowl of pasta.
And look, we’re not opposed to any of those things. But a beautiful life isn’t just an aesthetic.
It’s a collection of choices.
The people you keep close.
The work you give your energy to.
How you take care of yourself.
What you say yes to.
What you finally say no to.
Where you go.
What you make time for.
What you decide matters.
Some of those choices look beautiful on Instagram. Some look like getting on the plane. Some look like staying home. Some feel exciting. Others require discipline, courage or doing something you'd rather avoid.
Because living beautifully isn't about making everything easy. It's about being intentional about what gets to make up your life. And perhaps that's the real luxury.
Not having the most beautiful things.
Having more of the things that make life feel like yours.
